there are many units which are not equipped with MEWSs, instead using tactical mesh vests, belts, etc. for equipment and ammunition, as the CATSuit itself acts as armor.
A great many units, particularly UE Army infantry, are not equipped with CATSuits at all.

Unlike most MEWSs, which use panels of the same material as the CATSuit's own armor, the TIGER packages' armor is composed of solid composite plates, increasing weight and limiting mobility. Arms include two over-the-shoulder MultiPurpose Rocket Launchers (inspired by Kei and Yuri's from Project Eden; Various grenade launchers and automatic weapons*; and Power Claws, like those Termintor-esque grabby hands, but with motors, and built-in Plasma Cutters.
Some effort was made towards developing a heavier version of the TIGER, tentatively designated LION, but MASA decided that at a certain point, it just makes more sense to puut on a proper Heinlein frame or powered armor.
